Goldman, Ira Franklin

Ira Goldman, extraordinary man of 86 years, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away in his sleep while watching his favorite channel MSNBC on December 1, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Ira was not ill, just tired of hurting “the elderly aches and pains” and most of all missed the love of his life, Anita Goldman z”l.

Ira was one of the good guys. A man who deeply loved his family; who greeted people during the high holidays at Shearith Israel with a smile graced by warmth and generosity of spirit; a man who was always triumphantly himself and brought joy into this world. His kindness and genuine caring will never be forgotten.

He knew how to love and be loved with his smile and listening ears, which is how he raised his children. He lived by the “Golden Rule”…Do unto others as you would have them do unto you…that was our Dad.

Ira, predeceased by daughter Andrea Rebecca Goldman, will be deeply missed by his children, Dena and David Fein, Ricky and Terri Goldman. Grandchildren Lillie Ghobrial, Aaron Ghobrial, Josh Fein, Zach Fein, Joelle Goldman and Lexie Goldman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Shearith Israel Cemetery on Dolphin Road, Dallas, Texas 75223.

Services are under the direction of Charles E. McCoy, Funeral Director and David Prager, Jewish Funeral Care Specialist.
