Obituary of Daniels, Lyra Brin

Lyra Brin Daniels was born in Dallas on a hot July day in 1930.  She was the only child of Boots and Donald Brin.  Lyra grew up in Highland Park where she attended Bradfield Elementary and Highland Park High School.  She met her future husband, Edwin Daniels, at her 16th birthday party, and they were married 67 years.  Lyra enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and entertaining at the Columbian Country club.  A lifelong member of Temple Emanu-El, Lyra worked passionately and tirelessly on behalf of the Temple's Mausoleum and Cemetery. She will be missed by her children, Donna & Byron Rubin and Mark Daniels, and her grandchildren, Dr. Lisa & Richard Hartman, and Dr. Lisa and Eric Rubin, as well as her great grandchildren, Lucy & Leah Hartman. Lyra's funeral and entombment will be held on Friday, January 4th at  9:30 am, in the Chapel of the Temple Emanu-El Mausoleum, 3430 Howell Street, Dallas, TX  75204. The family would like to thank Natalie Garry and Dr. Amy Johnson for their kindness and support over the years, as well as Maricruz, Elda, Veronica, Kara, Killo, Tamara & Maria for their constant and loving care.
