Mendoza, George Albino
George Albino Mendoza, 70, of The Colony, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 14, 2019.Ā He was born on March 1, 1948 in San Benito, Texas the son of the late Antonio and Sara Mendoza and eleven siblings.Ā While residing in San Antonio, Texas, he met Dorothy Morales.Ā They were married on May 27, 1967 and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Mendoza and their four children; Vicky Orozco and husband, Alfredo; Rene Mendoza and wife, Martha; George Mendoza and wife, Claudia; Alma Ortiz and husband, Martin; brothers, Tony, Benito, and Guadalupe; sisters, Gabriela and Sara.Ā He has nine grandchildren; April, Elizabeth, Rene Jr., Michael, Erik, Alexis, Adam, Louie and Isabel; three great-grandchildren Mia, Fernando, and Jonah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on March 2, 2019 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Ā A rosary will be held from 11:30 am-12:00 pm, with a mass from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, and a Celebration of Life from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm.
George was a loving man of faith, who had a passion for fishing, gardening, music and spending time with his family. He was loved by all and will truly be missed.
