Jack Stafford Ross Jr. passed away Tuesday February 12, 2019 at approximately 6:30 PM. Jack was born in Dallas, Texas on June 18, 1947 to Jack Stafford Ross, Sr. and Iris Mae Humphries. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Stafford Ross Sr, his mother Iris Mae Ross (Humphries) and his brother Mark Brannan Ross. Jack is survived by his three sons and their families Jack Stafford Ross III and Joy Shepherd, Jeffrey Louis Ross, and Brannan Coder Ross and Jessica Aslinn Ross. Jack is also survived by a family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was a dedicated father to his three sons and was always thinking of them. He was extremely proud of Jack, Jeff and Brannan and the paths they chose for their lives. Jack was an avid practitioner of healthy living. At 71 years of age he was a bodybuilder and went to the gym regularly. He was at the gym when he passed away on his favorite rowing machine. He was very particular about his diet and was very fond of his protein shakes he had for breakfast every morning. He was a devoted believer of the Eternal Creator and prayed daily from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM. Jack graduated with honors from the University of North Texas and El Centro College with degrees in both Business Management and Business Marketing. Jack was awarded the “Outstanding Student of the Year” his senior year. Jack also worked on his MBA at the University of Phoenix and studied theology at the Dallas Theological Institute. He is also a graduate of the United States Chamber of Commerce Executive Training Program.
While attending college Jack also advanced thru all phases of the Sears Executive Training Program and upon graduation was awarded the position of Division Manager. He achieved a high level of success and was awarded the “Outstanding Manager Award” by the Sears Roebuck Foundation. Jack later went into Sales and worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in commercial real estate and the oil and gas industry. He was a polished salesman that whole heartedly believed in any product he was representing. He was passionate about his beliefs and uncompromising with his principles. He will be missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at North Dallas Funeral Home in Farmers Branch TX. Refreshments and food will follow at a restaurant nearby immediately afterwards.
