“I highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brother’s arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks.”

Obituary of
Chatham, Rebecca Dawn (Becky) (Aronowitz)
Rebecca "Becky" Dawn Aronowitz Chatham of Dallas, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the age of 57. Thanks to G_d, it is again spring, Becky’s favorite season. Spring is the season of great creation, matching her spirit. The home Becky loved nurtured her creations. She loved it and all in it. It was there that Becky was a dedicated mother to Lizzie, rearing an accomplished daughter who is completing her Master’s degree. Becky’s nurturing spirit included caring for her dogs, Julian and Mischa. Becky would spend spring working on her flower beds. She would follow this with a trip to the dog park , socializing for all three. While her home was the sanctuary where Becky energized, her world extended beyond to her jewelry business. A strong and independent business woman, Becky created and sold gorgeous designs for her clients for over thirty years. We will all miss Becky’s emphatic Facebook posts supporting President Trump. She attended one of his early rallies and became one of his biggest fans. Becky was preparing for his re-election. Creative people continue to grow, and Becky did, too. Driving her first SUV developed a more cautious aspect of Becky. Finally, she cruised the Tollway without tickets or fender-benders. She accomplished this while still listening and dancing to Indie music on Sirius Satellite Radio. Becky was an impassioned woman, approaching everything that she did with energy and zeal. Rebecca is the daughter of Rose Aronowitz and the late Gerald Aronowitz. She is the mother of Elizabeth Chatham. Becky is preceded in death by brother, David Aronowitz. She is the sister of Joel Aronowitz (Fiona Chalom) of Los Angeles, Paul Aronowitz of Missouri City, Texas, and Ray Aronowitz (Gabriela). Becky is aunt to David’s sons, Samuel and Benjamin; Joel’s children: Rachel, Sarah, Daniel, and Moriah, Paul’s children: Jacob, Hannah, and Charles, and Ray’s children: Alexandra, Adam and Lauren. Becky is the niece of Barbara Eliasof and Melvyn Aronowitz. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
