Obituary of Hagemann, Jon Robert

Jon Robert Hagemann, 61, passed from this life, suddenly, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 while in Dallas.  Jon was born to Robert G. & Dorothy L. (May) Hagemann on March 16, 1958 in Kansas City, MO. Jon was first raised in Overland Park, KS and subsequent moves with the family took him to Iowa, Oklahoma, and Indiana. While in Indiana he graduated from Evansville Central High School.  He, also graduated from Eastern New Mexico State University – Portales, where he excelled in football and there developed a passion for Rugby and the brotherhood that came with game. A day before his 50th birthday, when it looked like he would be a lifelong bachelor, Jon found his soulmate in Linda (nee Rochelle) and they were married March 15, 2008.  They made their home in Texarkana, TX. His professional career took him across the south and southwest, from Atlanta, Houston, Las Cruces, Harlingen, and Texarkana.  He was also a teacher and coach at Texarkana Liberty Eylau High School.  On his journey he built many friendships across the country. Some other notable traits; Jon loved to correct gramatical or spelling errors, discuss politics using facts, was spotted occasionally enjoying a beer, and knew that the Kansas City Chiefs were screwed out of a Super Bowl bid by the refs in 2019. Jon is survived by his loving wife, Linda; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Jim, and wife Michelle; Jeff, and wife Alice; nieces and nephews (Robby, Scott, Joy, Danielle, Austin, Brooke), ten grand nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy. A memorial service is planned for 11:00 am, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at First Lutheran Church, Texarkana, TX. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
