Harrington, Curtis Leon

Leon Harrington, 86, a longtime resident of Farmers Branch, TX, passed away at his home on 5/5/2019 surrounded by family members.  He was born on 6/19/1932 to Mary Ruth and Aaron Harrington in Houston, MS.

Leon proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea, where he was awarded a Bronze Star for Valor.  He then became a chemical salesman specializing in the electroplating industry.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 63 years; three children, Allen Harrington of Nashville, TN, Lynn Harrington of Farmers Branch and Glenn Harrington of Farmers Branch; and a grandson, Josh Rogers, of Carrollton, TX.  Preceding him in death were his daughter, Helen Rogers; grandson, Nick Rogers; and son, Mike Harrington.

There will be a graveside service, with military honors, at Furneaux Cemetery in Carrollton, TX on Tuesday, May 7th at 10:00 am.

It was an honor and a privilege to care for Leon as a RN, but also to be his friend. I treasure the time I was with Leon and this precious family. May Leon’s memory be a blessing to all.
