Obituary of Trojanek, Mary Ann

Mary Ann Trojanek went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2019. She was born the third of three children to Albert and Mary (Weldy) Lenosky on April 5, 1926 in Antrim County, Michigan. She lived in good health and was still driving until she suffered a fall in November 2016. Thereafter, her health was compromised. Mary Ann grew up in East Jordan, Michigan.  She played flute in the East Jordan High School band and orchestra.  She graduated in 1944 as her class valedictorian. She attended then Michigan State College (now University) from 1944 to 1948, graduating with a bachelors degree in social work.  She went on to work at Traverse City State Hospital. On June 11, 1949, she married her sweetheart and love of her life, Glenn, whom she had known since childhood, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, East Jordan, Michigan. Mary Ann followed her husband Glenn, as his career took him to Charleston, West Virginia and later to Detroit, Michigan. In 1993, she and Glenn moved to Carrollton, Texas to be closer to their son Steven and wife Patricia.  They often could be found at the Carrollton Senior Center, and they loved to dance.  Mary Ann enjoyed the challenge of a good New York Times crossword puzzle.  She was so devoted to her dear husband Glenn. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn Augustus, sister Frances (Lenosky) Felix and her husband Frederick Robert Felix, Canadian Lakes, Michigan, brother John Jerome Lenosky, Troy, Michigan, sister-in-law Helen (Trojanek) Penfold and husband DuWayne, Cupertino, California,  Jean (Trojanek) Boensch and husband Joseph, Saginaw, Michigan, and brother-in-law Robert F. Trojanek, of East Lansing, Michigan. Mary Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law of Lakeway, Texas, sister-in-law Jean Lenosky, of Troy Michigan, brother-in-law Francis Trojanek of Prescott, Arizona, nieces and nephews Mary Ann Dilmore and husband Tony of Brandon, Mississippi, Teresa and Joe Opiela, of Commerce Township, Michigan, Thomas Lenosky of Santa Cruz, California, Margaret (Penfold) Rollins, Copperopolis, California, Christine (Penfold) Steele, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Edwin Penfold, Fenton, Missouri, John Penfold, Oxnard, California, Janice (Boensch) McCullough, Bay City, Michigan, Joni (Boensch) Clark, Plain City, Ohio, Theresa (Boensch) Lange, Whittemore, Michigan, Michael Boensch, Whittemore and Patrick Boensch, East Tawas, Michigan; Glenn Trojanek, Bloomington, Minnesota, and Gregory Trojanek, Shakopee, Minnesota. Viewing: North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmer’s Branch, Texas.  A rosary will be held Sunday 3:00 PM, July 7. Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmer’s Branch, Texas. Interment: with husband Glenn 12:30 PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped make her last days comfortable.  They include her friends and neighbors, employees of Brookdale Assisted Living, Farmers Branch, Dallas Medical Center, Farmer’s Branch, Select Specialty Hospital, Carrollton, and Seniors Helping Seniors of North Dallas home health care.  She was loved and will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends.
