Anyone who ever met Don remembers him. He was that mix of personality, style, and sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind. Everyone has a “Don” story.
I will remember him as a businessman who worked hard and provided jobs and paychecks for scores of people throughout his long career.
I will remember how he treated customers, employees, and all he dealt with as friends.
I will remember his sense of humor and can-do attitude which made working with him fun.
I will remember a Life well lived. Rest In Peace.
We will remember. God Speed, Don.

Uncle Don was the man that made everyone feel special and loved. There are many memories of summer patio days, Don’s famous hamburgers and a house full of family. Don was a gracious man that was the best doughnut shop taxi driver, Christmas light tour guide and the best person to get a hug from in any room. Thank you for the memories and time you spent with me. Much love to Aunt Brenda and family.

Brenda, we were so sorry to hear about Dons passing. He was a good friend. We met for the first time when he was invited to a meeting of similar distributors. (AID). Don was quiet and thoughtful And we weren't sure what he thought. The next year he was invited back as a member and made a wonderful presentation. We all clapped and cheered. Don smiled and stood up and opened his coat and shirt and was wearing a super man T shirt! We never again had to wonder what Don was thinking. When we became a Spotnails distributor and toured the country to see how the other guys did it our last stop was Southern Staple. Don was a Spotnails Distributor from head to toe including the canned beverages we enjoyed that were Spotnail branded. We got back home and decided we would do it the way Don did. It worked! We recently visited with Don and Brenda and theywere superlative hosts and we had a wonderful visit.
Goodby old friend. You were one of a kind and will be missed.

Don was a very special friend to Spotnails and his loss is felt deeply here among all who worked with him for as far back as 30 years. Personally, I am so thankful to have had more than just a business relationship with Don. I am grateful for the influence he had in my life and the friendship we had together. One of the characteristics I appreciated most about Don was how candid he was with me. He could be blunt at times.. but you always knew where you stood! I will miss you Don and will keep my home open to Brenda if you ever find your way to Chicago!

Brenda - We are sending you loving thoughts from LA. We sent our donation to Clifton HS in honor of Don's generous spirit. I will always remember Uncle Don for that magical gleam of mischief which runs strong in the Kanz clan, but perhaps most strongly in him.

I have a letter on my office wall that Don sent me when I expanded my business...it says: "YOU'VE DONE GOOD!" That is how Don put things. I got to know Don when I was the regional mgr. for Spotnails. I took Ray Blakeman, the Spotnail president, to visit him. He told us he was in the "bent wire business" and he'd buy from the company with the best price. It was then I knew I liked Don and he was an excellent business man, and also became a great friend. We love both Don & Brenda at the different sales meetings. May you rest in peace. Steve & Jan

What special friend he and Brenda have been,
We have had so many fun times together.
I learned a lot from Don he was way ahead of social media with his mailings special by snail mail long before email.

light and never ask why or say anything else about it or even ask when I could pay him
back. Honest hardworking guy we will Miss him. R.I.P. BROTHER
