December 29, 1952 - August 29, 2019
Mollie Kay Geddings-Herring died on Thursday August 29, 2019 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. She was born December 29, 1952 in Greenville SC to James and Katherine Geddings. The daughter of a military family, Kay had the privilege of living in many different places including England for 3 years. This instilled in her a love of travel and people.
Kay graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in Mesquite, TX, Class of 1972. Following graduation she trained and worked as a dental assistant. Kay was later a successful real estate agent and an award winning electronics salesperson for Cisco Systems. After several years Kay left Cisco Systems to lead a less stress filled life as the owner of small postal business, Easy Mail. It was at Easy Mail that she became friends with her customer and future husband Bob Herring, a custom home builder and the love of her life who was to become her loving companion for the next 18 years. Bob helped Kay realize a life-long dream of building and owning a beautiful Pet Hotel. They later sold both businesses so that they could enjoy early retirement together.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Katherine Geddings.
