Obituary of Bell, Tom A.

TomĀ  A. Bell of Carrollton, Texas passed away February 12, 2020 at the age of 95.Ā  He was born July 13, 1924 in Canton, Mississippi.Ā  He lived most of his childhood in Jackson, Mississippi.Ā  As a teenager, the family moved to Amarillo, Texas to be close to other family members. Tom served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a medic, mostly at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.Ā  While in the Army, he met and married Grace Guess.Ā  After serving in the military, they briefly returned to Amarillo before moving to Dallas.Ā  Tom worked for 32 years at Ling-Temco-Vought Aerospace in Grand Prairie as an Industrial Photographer until his retirement in 1984. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Grace. Ā  He is survived by four children: Thomas, Jim, Sharon Bell Joyce, and Karen Deen Fritz; six grandchildren: Chad Bell, Crystal Joyce, Brett Bell, Brandon Deen, Chelsea Deen, and Taylor Deen; four great-grandchildren: Layla Deen, Ellie Deen, Everett Deen, and Scarlett Bell. Tom will be laid to rest, with military honors, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 19th at 11:30 a.m., 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, under the direction of North Dallas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
