Vaccaro, Michael George "Mikey"

Michael Vaccaro, known to many as Mikey, passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2020 at his home in Texas at the age of 35. Mikey was born in Tucson, AZ where he graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School in 2003. Mikey’s love of the culinary arts and his desire to cook and serve others inspired his decision to attend and graduate from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute as a Certified Chef. Throughout his many years of dedication and loyalty, he finally got the opportunity to pursue his dream and moved to Texas with the love of his life. His passion for cooking was only surpassed by his love for people, especially his family.

Mikey befriended many from all walks of life and accepted everyone for who they were. He was passionate about the things he loved, incredibly down to earth and had a smile that could light up a room. He will be deeply missed by all those who were lucky enough to cross paths with him, coworkers and friends that enjoyed his wit, dedication to his craft and fine skills in the kitchen, as well as his family who cherished him greatly. He is survived by best friend, love of his life, partner in all the aspects of his life Rachyl, mother Eileen, brother Anthony, sisters Tara and Megan, and was predeceased by his father George. Memorial services have yet to be determined. The family can be contacted at: Rachyl Kaihoi PO Box 69341 Tucson, AZ 85737.

Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

My dear Mikey. You’ve always been such a great guy. I can’t believe you had to leave this world so soon! I thought there was still time. Time to laugh with you time to hug you time to share and drink while reminiscing the good old days. Your life meant so much to so many people. I hope you knew that. I am happy I got you and Rachyl together. You are a perfect match. She brought you the most smiles. You were a joy to know and love and will Always be remembered. I’ll miss you so much.

Rachel and Mikey’s family, we didn’t know him well, but the few times we met Mikey, he was so much fun. Our hearts go out to you all at this sad time.

Priscilla Abby McCament says:

For Mikey’s family, friends, Rachyl and everyone who knew how much of a beautiful soul Mikey was. Beyond selfless, and always someone to confide in even if it was hard. He earned my trust and respect from day one based on how he treated anyone and everyone and someone new in his life like me. I will always remember when I first saw how I wanted my foundation of love to be, and how insanely high you, Rachyl, and Mikey set my standards for how love should be. Mikey was one in infinity and I pray for everyone who was so lucky to have been blessed to have had him in any piece of their world.
