Obituary of Jones, Charles K.

Kevin Jones, born Charles Kelvin Jones was born February 3rd 1960 in Michigan passed away May 24, 2020. He was the oldest of three sons to his late parents Charlie and Lena Jones. He later moved with his family and grew up in the state of Tennessee where he developed friendships that lasted a lifetime without regard to time or distance as he again moved to Texas in his 20's. Kevin was a proud truck driver, dedicated to spending time with his family who had a passionate zeal for quoting the bible and his love for his dogs. Despite his passing he is survived by his two younger brothers Kenny and Kyle Jones, his wife Mary, son James, granddaughter Hailie, and countless coworkers and friends who he considered special to his heart. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family Mary. Kevin’s Mother Lena Belle was my Dad’s sister. Our families lost contact with each other many years ago as we grew older and married and had our own families, moved apart from each other. In our younger years we all would gather at Grandma and Grandpa Knight’s place in Talbott, Tennessee on holidays like Christmas. It was a big family and all of us cousins would play on the farm and always had a fun time seeing each other. It’s so sad how we all lost touch after all these years. I often had wondered where we all ended up, still do. But when I became a member of facebook and seen Kevin and some other family members I’d lost touch with I got excited and became friends with them, especially Kevin. Some people don’t care for Facebook but it brought me close to Kevin and his wife, Mary and their family. I am so thankful to God because I felt like He made it possible for us getting to know each other again….we were blessed for just a few years of being cousins again and reminiscing the “good old days” as they say. None of us know when our lives will end so tell everyone you know especially your family and friends how much you love and care for them often because tomorrow may never come. Kevin, thank you for your service to our great country and thank you for not only being my cousin but also my friend. May you rest in peace with our Gracious Lord until we meet again. Mary always know you, James and Hailie will forever be in my heart, my thoughts and prayers. Love you, Donna Knight Carpenter. ❤️ ️

I will always remember the good times and the true friendship we always had. I truly considered him to be my brother from another mother. I will always remember the times we rode in a car at 110mph and the time I went through Jacks drive-thru in my wheelchair with him there! I send my condolences to Mary and James.

Kevin was a loving and caring man. I loved him
and his family so much. Lena and Charles were
the best parents that Kenny, Kevin & Kyle could ask for.
The family welcomed me & my daughter Devin to there
family when my daughter was a baby and they treated
me and my daughter like we were their grand daughter and I was there daughter.
Kevin would play with Devin for hours and had her laughing all the time.
I know from talking to Kevin how much he loved Mary , James & Hailie
and how much they loved him.
Kevin you were very loved and you will be missed very very much.
