Jo Waller says:

Wayne Secore and I had the pleasure of working with Ed on a few cases. He was an amazing and sometimes entertaining lawyer but also simply a good man.

Dan Waller says:

I met Ed when we both joined the SEC in the early eighties. He was a pleasure to work with and a trusted colleague and friend. Ed brought experience to the SEC from his days at the Justice Department that proved invaluable in developing the myriad of complex cases the SEC brought in those years. After he and I left the SEC, we collaborated on a wide variety of white collar civil and criminal matters—-not always on the same side—-and he could always be counted on to be fair, open-minded as to an opposing view and a vigorous advocate for his cause. The white collar bar will miss him greatly.

Chris Roach says:

I was very sad to read this news. Ed was my mentor at Baker Botts in the late 90s and became a friend even when we all ended up at different firms. He was smart, funny, humble, and very devoted to his family and his clients. He was truly one of a kind and a credit to the legal profession.
