Swink, Barbara Vivian (Teafatiller)


Barbara Vivian Teafatiller Swink, age 81, passed away peacefully June 27, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born on September 7, 1938 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Louis and Kate Teafatiller.

Barbara loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She loved to dote on them and would absolutely light up when she saw any of them. She rarely had a conversation with anyone, stranger or not, that she was not bragging about her wonderful family.  Barbara was a strong, fearless woman who raised her children to be confident and hard workers.

Barbara is survived by her six children and their spouses, Vivian Wood and husband, Steven, Rhonda Clark and husband, Steve, Tammy Emmert, Richard Terrence “Terry” Swink and wife, Judy, Deborah Slayter and husband, Kevin, Kristy Sweeney-Kee and husband, Stephen; grandchildren and their spouses, Amy Harris, Gina Dailey and husband, David, Rachel Wood, Stevie Swink, Landon Slayter, Cameron Slayter & wife, Sarah, Zachary Slayter & wife, Rachel, Nathan Sweeney, Kathryn Sweeney, Julia Sweeney, Sarah Sweeney, Seth Kee, Liam Kee; and great-grandchildren, Alex Wood, Ayden Harris, Ava Dailey, Autumn Dailey.  All of these she loved and touched deeply.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
