Obituary of Nusbaum, Hyman Harris "Hy"

Hyman “Hy” Harris Nusbaum passed away peacefully at his home on July 24, 2020.  He was 84 years old.  Hy was born February 2, 1936 to Archibald and Libby (Lafer) Nusbaum in Detroit, MI.  Hy married his high school sweetheart on December 23, 1956 and is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marion (Goodman) Nusbaum. Theirs was a love story that began nearly 70 years ago. He is also survived by three children Alan (Gigi) Nusbaum, Rochelle (Jeff) Greenberg and Ronald (Carol) Nusbaum, 5 grand-children and 2 great-grandchildren.  Hy was a US Army veteran and a graduate of Wayne State University. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A private service will be held for Hy at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on July 30, 2020 where his life and his service to his country will be remembered and celebrated. To express your sympathy, the family is encouraging donations to the American Heart Association in lieu of flower arrangements.
