Obituary of
Bell, Charles Russell
Charles Russell Bell of Irving, Texas, passed away on July 27, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. Russell was born on January 26, 1938 in Bay City, Texas to Blondie and Emma Bell. Russell was raised in the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Waco High School and then joined the Army in November in 1960. Russell married the love of his life, his wife Barbara in December of 1960. When he left active duty in August of 1961, Barbara and Russell moved to Dallas. Russell worked for Frymire Engineering for 6 six years and then he started his own HVAC company, Bell Air Conditioning. He along with his sons operated Bell Air Conditioning for 39 years. Russell enjoyed hunting in Colorado, camping out with his family at Padre Island, and cooking bar-b-que for extended family at a farm on the Brazos River called “The River.” Russell is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara Bell of Irving, Texas and his children John (wife, Lisa) Bell, Robin (husband, Jeff) Yeakel, and Greg Bell. In addition, he is survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, B. B. Bell, Marvin Bell, Charles Bell, and Cornelia Bell. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
