Allen, Metta Hailey
Metta Hailey Allen was born Metta Juan Herman on December 06, 1931 in Soper, OK. She was raised in Abilene, TX. She married Jerry N. Hailey in April 1951. She attended nursing school in Abilene, TX and received her R.N. degree, and later opened her own interior design business. She enjoyed cooking, being with her friends, dinner groups, book club, going to church and spending time with her family. She attended Christ United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch for 45 years.
She died August 29, 2020, age 88 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.P. and Mildred Inez Harvey, her husband of 50 years, Jerry N. Hailey, sister Madeline Keebler and second husband Bob Allen.
Metta is survived by eldest son, Jeffery W. Hailey and wife Cynthia Hailey of Flower Mound, TX, Jim S. Hailey and George Pelletier of Santa Fe, NM and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

She always made me feel at home and reminded me so much of my very own grandmother, great loving person to be around. I loved talking with her and she always had a great incredible desserts for me. 🙁

Metta was the one of the most wonderful, happy and genuinely kind people I have met. She was a wonderful mother to my friend Jim and his brother Jeff. Her smile and laugh will be missed. Knowing she is home now makes it easier to bear. We love you forever Metta.
