Obituary of Prehm, Barbara Jean (Nauer)

Barbara Jean Prehm, beloved mother and grandmother, was born January 20, 1950 and passed on September 11, 2020.  She grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin and attended St. Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee. After high school she met her husband Thomas and got married in 1972. They traveled the world for 20 years due to Thomas being in the air force. Barbara is survived by her 2 children; daughter, Laurel and son-in-law, Emilio; and son, Chris; 2 grandchildren, Caitlyn and Ami; her 2 brothers,James and Raymond; and numerous cousins. Barbara moved to Texas in 2001 from California and settled into Carrollton, Texas with her husband and son Chris.  In 2019 she moved to Farmers Branch to be closer to her daughter, Laurel and son-in-law Emilio. The family wishes to extend thanks the caring and compassionate caregivers where she spent her last year of life, making it safe, happy, meaningful and comfortable as possible. Services are scheduled for Friday September 18, 2020, viewing is from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and the funeral service starts at 6:00 pm all in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.  Interment will be at a later date @ Dallas Fort Worth National cemetery.     Prayers and blessings to all the family as they deal with this. Barbara was one of my oldest friends, in fact I served as a bridesmaid for her many years ago. Circumstances have allowed us to re-connect in recent years for which I am very grateful.
