Obituary of Cabal, Alvaro De Jesus

Alvaro De Jesus Cabal, of Garland, Texas passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the age of 79.  He was born 3/26/1941 in Tulua, Valle, Colombia. He was an artist from a young age and made his career in advertising.  He came to the United States with the goal of a better life for himself and his new wife, Offir. With the help of his brother Rodolfo, who came before him, he settled in New York City at the age of 23 and six months later his wife, Offir came to start a new life here in the United states. He lived in NYC for 12 years with his family which included two children. In 1976, Alvaro and his family moved to Miami, Florida, and there he lived 23 years and continued with his advertising business. Afterwards in the year 2000, he and Offir decided to move to Garland, Texas to settle where his son Christian had settled. He is survived by his wife Offir, son Christian and daughter, Karen. The family will be receiving visitors on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
