Scott, Lillian Laverne
Lillian Laverne Scott was born in Madisonville, Texas on April 20, 1928 and passed away November 19, 2020 of natural causes in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 92.Ā She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Zoda Knight. Lillian was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in her recreational vehicle, and enjoyed camping and the outdoors.Ā She loved feeding deer, raccoons, and other wild animals around her home in New Braunfels, Texas.Ā Lillian was an avid reader, loved reading poetry, and had a special love for southern gospel music.Ā She wrote numerous poems when she was younger.Ā She had a strong faith in God that allowed her to endure many trials and hardships during her life. Lillian is survived by her children Marlin and wife Barbara Hendry, Glenda and husband Leonard Brannon, Thomas and wife Debby Hendry, Barbara Hendry, and Kerry and husband Steven Moses; and her grandchildren, Kimberly and Joe Kelpen, Kelly and Kyle Estes, Kimberly and Phil Koserowski, Richard Soffar, Josh and Michelle Brannon, Caressa Gian, Jon-Marc and Gigi Brannon, Deena and Adam Minter, Andi and Justin Robicheaux, Lorrie and Eric Williams, Megan and Jack Weaver; and her great-grandchildren Kara Kelpen, Joey Kelpen, Courtney Sulak, Michael Sulak, Maya Koserowski, Evan Koserowski, Justin Brannon, Madison Brannon, John Brannon, Grace Brannon, Elizabeth Brannon, Christina Brannon, Estella Gian, Ryder Gian, Lily Brannon, Jameson Brannon, Emma Minter, Isabella Minter, Braden Huckabee, Liam Robicheaux, Hazel Robicheaux, Weston Williams, Abbigail Williams, Rowan Williams, Maverick Williams, Cody Weaver, Sadie Weaver, Sofie Weaver; and her six great-great-grandchildren. Lillian is preceded by her mother and father, Earnest and Zoda Knight; her husband, Richard Scott; her brothers, Melvin Moree Knight and Earnest Goree Knight; and her sister, Thelma Burrow. The family will be receiving visitors between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Pathway of Life Church, 8510 Military Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75227. Celebration of Life service will be at 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2020 at Pathway of Life Church, 8510 Military Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75227. Interment will follow the service at Walker Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
