Hoelscher, Juanita Mae
Juanita Mae Hoelscher was born July 14, 1932 in Lawton Oklahoma she passed away January 9, 2021 in Dallas Texas. Juanita graduated from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in 1954 and Baylor School of Anesthesia. She worked as a nurse anesthetist throughout her life, retiring from Baylor University Medical Center Dallas after 36 continuous years of service in Labor and Delivery. She comforted and cared for thousands of new moms and witnessed many new lives entering the world.
Juanita married her husband of 50 years Roy Henry Hoelscher on August 26, 1961. The couple made their home in Dallas Texas and raised three children together. Juanita was a caregiver at heart taking care of her family and friends as well as volunteering when she could. She loved to dance a polka or a waltz and work in her flower garden. Juanita was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a longtime member of St. Monica Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and an active member of the St. Faustina Chapter of the Catholic Daughter of America.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Hoelscher and her sister Anita Kelly. She is survived by her sister Patricia Pittman, son Bryan Hoelscher, daughter and son in law John and Michelle Henry, daughter and son in law Scott and Kathryn Assenheimer, grandchildren Julia and Sophie Henry, Ryan, Devin, and Taylor Assenheimer and great grandson Henry Assenheimer, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A rosary and funeral mass will be held and simulcast from St. Monica Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 19 at 10:00 AM www.youtube.com/c/stmonicacatholicchurch
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westphalia Texas.
