After retirement, Jan and Ray traveled internationally.  She loved to read and co-founded the First Tuesday Book Club in 2000 as well as being in a dinner club with monthly get togethers with long time friends.

Jan was a long time, very active member of Christ United Methodist Church.  She sang in the choir, attended a Sunday School class and was active in many groups.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ray; daughters, Nancy Quelland, Betsy McKinney, Kay Humbert; son-in-law, Daniel Humbert; 4 grandchildren, Megan McKinney, Zachary McKinney, Sadie Humbert, Josiah Humbert and his son, Ziya.

A memorial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 2807 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.
