Obituary of
Pingrey, Vertie Joyce
Vertie Joyce Pingrey, 78, of Royse City, went to heaven on January 10, 2014. Vertie was born to the late Ferguson & Willie Eaves on November 24th, 1935, in Lubbock Texas. She was the eldest surviving sibling of five brothers and one sister. Vertie graduated from Dietary School in the mid 1970’s, soon after she went to work at Andrews Nursing Home. Later on she successfully managed the thriving restaurant, Mr. Burger, in Andrews, Texas for 10 years before to moving to Dallas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifford Ernest Pingrey, of 26 years in 1988. In 1996, Vertie retired from Christian Care Center of Mesquite, Texas. Upon retiring she took pleasure in spending time with family, needlepointing, and loving her Pitbull, Sugar.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Brenda Walker, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Granny is loved and missed by each and every one.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on February 8th, 2014 at Community Baptist Church, 6012 Highway 276, Royse City, Texas 75189.

I lived next door to granny for a short time when my kids were very little.She even told my kids to call her granny. She was such a sweet,humble person Heaven received an amazing angel. RIP GRANNY!!!
