i met vicki in 1977. She was a smart, brave, young single mom (2 young sons) who was making it on her own. A soft-spoken lovely woman who won over the hearts and minds of her co-workers, she worked tirelessly to make a solid future for her sons and herself.

The two of us (with very different temperaments and styles) became close friends. She taught me the limits that one human could exceed when she has hope in her heart, humor on her lips and compassion in her manner.

    i sorely miss her!
