Obituary of Arnold, Billie

Billie Ray Arnold exchanged his cross for a crown on January 31, 2014. He is survived by a large, loving family including his wife of 54 years, Shirley, their children Shari, Larry and his wife Angie, Ron and his wife Vicky, Vicki and her husband Jeff, Pamela and her husband Peter and Cathy and her husband Craig along with 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, sister Eva Cannon and brother Paul Arnold. Bill served in the Navy, worked as an engineer for in the aviation industry including American Airlines in Tulsa, Ok, and used his entrepreneurial skills to open and operate several children’s day schools in the Dallas Fort Worth area and a women’s clothing retail store in Irving, Texas. A military grave site service will be held at the VFW cemetery for the immediate family followed by a chocolate reception for family and friends at the Riverside Church of Christ in Coppell, Texas. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

    We have said farewell to a truly great man. I feel the loss of a good friend but I am sad for his family, for they too have lost a great person. Thank goodness for our memories, I will forever see and remember that slight squint in his eyes and his warm smile. Love to his lovely wife, Shirley.
