Cooper, Flossie Williams
Flossie Williams Cooper of Richardson, Texas passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. Flossie was born in Mounds, Illinois on March 12, 1947 to Jim and Katie (Thompson) Williams. She is survived by her children, Keefer Cooper, Shelby Williams and Rhonda Williams.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 5:30 pm at 14708 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, Texas.

Flossie B. Williams Cooper was born to the late Jim and Katie Williams. Born in Mounds, Illinois on March 10, 1946, she was the 10th of 12 children. She grew up in the small town of Mounds, Illinois until moving to Chicago as a teenager. Flossie was baptized by the late Rev. Herman Williams at Zion Rock M.B. Church in Chicago. She served as Zion Rock’s first usher.
Flossie was trained as barber. During her career, she provided the latest cuts to hundreds of people including Sugar Ray Leonard, Phoenix Sun team members, executives and celebrities.
She left Chicago in the late 70s and lived in various cities including Phoenix, Las Vegas and most recently in Dallas, Texas.
After a courageous battle with various health issues, Flossie passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Everteen Palmer, Dorothy Douglas, Patsy Shern and Azolee Glover; brothers, James, Leonard and Lee Ernest Williams.
Keeping Flossie’s vibrant memory alive are her three children, Keefer G. Cooper, Shelby Williams and Rhonda Kay Williams; six grandchildren, Dajour Damaira Williams, Alexis Monique Williams, Xavier William Sparks, Nikayla B. Evette Dickesron, Thomas Shelby Williams, and Addison Marie Cooper; and two great-grandchildren, Tyrian Damaira Davis and Demi La Destiny Raye; sisters, Helen Brady and Janie Thomas and beloved brother Freddie Williams. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will remember her affectionately. Flossie’s niece, Marketta (Kitty) Stuckey and great niece, Demetrius Stuckey helped Rhonda to provide loving care for Flossie during her illness.
The family is grateful for your kind thoughts, prayers and actions during this time. They would also like to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Plaza.
