Barbara Jean Wilcher Wilemon, 71, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born September 26, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to her beloved father Harold “Jack” Wilcher & mother, Mildred Gertrude Follis Wilcher. She was an only child, but imparted many fond memories of her family, notably her cousins and grandparents.
Barbara’s most important job was a stay at home mother for many years. However, one of her most fulfilling occupations was as office manager at the North Texas Phobia Center of Dallas where she found her calling serving others in need. Here she forged a special relationship with her dear friend Jim Wilson.
Barbara was gregarious, enjoyed conversation, and made friends easily. She was exceptionally thoughtful and cared tremendously for others. Above everything, Barbara cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Cash Caraway Wilemon, her daughter Joi Wilemon; two sons, Gary Johnson and his wife Laura; Brian Johnson and his wife, Shirley; three grandchildren, Ashley, Cash, and Briley, and one great grandson, Brayden.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
I give you this one thought to keep – I am with you still, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone – I am with you still in each new dawn.
