Hutson, Steven Eric


Steven Eric Hutson, 53, passed away May 7, 2014. He was born February 1, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. Eric graduated from JJ Pearce HS in Richardson in 1979 where he lettered in golf. Eric studied business at the University of North Texas and graduated with a BBA degree in 1983.

Eric had a successful career with Barnes Group, Inc. where he was in operations management. He travelled extensively and lived overseas in London and France where he worked in the company’s overseas offices. But he always called Richardson his home.

Eric is survived by his parents, Herbert and DeDe Hutson and brother, Danny all of Richardson, Uncle Charles Ranly and wife Shirley of Wolf City and numerous cousins. He is also survived by nephew Drake Hutson, his wife Lyndsey, their 3 children Michael, Kylie and Matthew, niece Megan Hutson and niece Angela Miller and her husband Shawn. “Uncle Eric” holds a special place in their hearts.

Diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2012, Eric fought a courageous and brave battle.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Methodist Richardson Cancer Center via Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation.
