Obituary of Brown, Nancy Sue "Susy"

Nancy Sue “Susy” Tuck Brown, 87 of Plano passed away on May 10, 2014 at the Medical Center of Plano. She was born October 24, 1926 in Fayetteville, Arkansas as the daughter of Henry Lafayette Tuck and Corinna Melissa Shive Tuck. She met the love of her life, JRoyston Brown while they both were attending the University of Arkansas. Mrs. Brown attained her degree in Psychology, and was an exceptional student who loved to read, dance and sing. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and was active in the organization as an alumni. She always strived to be the best Wife, Mom, and "Grandy" to her family and was a very strong Christian lady. She loved her husband, JRoyston, her boys and her Grandchildren, and was always there for them through thick and thin, no questions asked. She was the incredible inspiration that allowed JRoyston to become an Anesthesiologist and Brigadier General in the Army Reserve. He could not have attained such greatness without her undying love, support and guidance. Susy Brown made many friends during her 30 years in Texarkana, Texas and 20 years in Plano, Texas and maintained contact with them over the years, always valuing their friendship. Susy Brown was the best Wife, the best Mother and the best friend a person could be blessed to have, we will miss her tremendously. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Delpha Tuck Crockett, Herman A. Tuck, Sr., Henry Lafayette Tuck, Jr., and Jack Shive Tuck. Survivors include Brigadier General Dr. JRoyston Brown, M.D., two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Royston Brown and Tod Christopher (Patricia) Brown. Seven Grandchildren, Jay Christopher Brown, Parker Ray Brown, Jeffrey Hunter Brown, Abby Kendall Brown, Danielle Brown Greenberg, Madison Melissa Brown, Cameron Shelby Brown. Three Great-Grandchildren, Hayden Sage Deviney, Ainsley Kate Brown, Lennon Cora Greenberg. Mrs. Brown is also survived by a Sister-in-law, Nell Tuck of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at the North Dallas Funeral Home, Sunday, May 18th, 2014 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.  A graveside memorial service for immediate family will be at 11:30a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.

J As you know with Susy’s death a generation of Tucks comes to an end. Susy was the linchpin that keep that part of the family together. I will miss her for her support and for being the caring and loving person she was. Although it is a difficult time for those of us left behind, Knowing that Susy is in a much better place will help to ease our grief. The good memories will never go away.
