Mrs. Inez P. Goff – Howard a beloved wife, mother, aunt, godmother and friend passed away peacefully May 16, 2014 at Prairie Estates Nursing Facility. She was born April 28, 1919, in Bremond, Texas. She graduated from A.J. Moore High School in 1936 in Waco, Texas. Ms. Howard was an inspiring example of Christian living. She was a loyal, dedicated member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Waco, Texas where she led the Wesleyan Service Guild, United Methodist Women, Senior Choir and Children’s Church. She worked with Laura Edwards Kindergarten and other community activities throughout Waco.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Clentie H. Howard; parents Rev. Benjamin J. Goff and Nannie B. (Blackwell) Goff; her sister, Mrs. Ada Faye (Jolly) Coney; her brother Rev. Garret J. Goff Sr.; nephews, Benjamin Goff and Garret Goff, Jr. and niece Gloria (Goff) Lacy.
Inez is survived by her daughter, Bridgett Goff Howard Mitchell; sister-in-law Alyce (Gay) Goff; nephew Joseph Goff (Eneida); nieces Lucretia (Goff) Littles, Odelia (Goff) Lando and Angela (Goff) Williams (Alvin); and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, godchildren and grand godchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00pm, at Jubilee United Methodist Church, 301 Frank Keasler Blvd, Duncanville, TX 75116. The family expresses appreciation to Prairie Estates Nursing Facility and especially, the Bluebonnet Hall 100 Personnel, for going above and beyond in providing exceptional care during her stay.
