Dorothy and I and two other teachers went to Hawaii for a week and had a grand time. Dorothy was always ready to go and have fun. She loved her students and once went on a trip to the beach and she brought back 175 small seashells, one for each student. Dorothy was very wise and of course we are both from Brownwood which created a bond between us. I am so glad Dorothy lived a long life and was in pretty good health until the last. I will always have loving memories of Dorothy.

Such a beautiful gracious lady. I know many people will miss her. What do I remember about Aunt Dorothy…her smile and laugh, the time she asked me to please call her “Aunt Dorothy”, not just Dorothy, and her story about cruising around Brownwood when she was a teenager with her little brother, Jack, in the back seat and telling him to please stay down so her friends wouldn’t see him in the car.
