Obituary of Headley, Sabra Kay

Sabra Kay Headley passed away peacefully on June 26, 2014, in Plano, Texas. Sabra was born October 22, 1941, in Salina, Kansas to Myrtle Maxine and Lester Headley. Sabra loved staying busy and was always planning her next project. She enjoyed travel, reading, dancing, gardening, walking, crossword puzzles and a good margarita - frozen, no salt. Special thanks to everyone in the dance community for their support and friendship, and all her dear friends, of which she had many. She will be missed. In keeping with Sabra's wishes, no service is planned, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please, no flowers. Memorials may be made in her name to Operation Kindness. Sabra is survived by her son, Michael Miller, of Garland, Texas, her daughter Jana Pernsteiner and husband William, of Port Townsend, Washington and her fur-kids, Harriet and Lilly. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.

My wife Sharron Muir-Sprinkle and I met Sabra only about 4 years ago for the first and what turned out to be the last time. Sabra is a cousin to my wife’s childhood friend (Shirley Hazen-Muir) who also happened to be married to her second cousin Earl Muir. We met Shirley and Sabra at the Corner Bakery in Plano, when Shirley was in town from Stockton, KS. We are so sad for the loss to her family.

Sabra was one of the first people that we became personal friends with when we started taking dance lessons about 2003. She was a wonderful person and we will miss her smile and kind heart. I enjoyed getting together with Cathy McGough and Sabra for a ladies lunch. We would eat and talk for hours. I’m going to miss those talks. God bless and help you during this difficult time. Sabra will always be with us in our hearts and memories. Jody Huff
