Many years ago in the 1960s Sue Goldstein was the director of the Summer camp at the Jewish Community Center in Phoenix. I was one of the counselors that worked under Sue, who was a dynamic, fantastic leader loved by all.

After Sue left Phoenix for Dallas and became a shopping guru she still kept in touch. She was always kind, caring and interested what old friends were doing.

I did not hear from Sue for some years most recently and am now saddened to learn that she is gone. However, the many happy memories she created for so many lives on.

Sue Goldstein was a brilliant, entertaining and humorous consumer reporter before the niche of consumer reporter was even considered. She was a trail blazer who mentored all who had the sincere privilege to work with, or know, her. As musicians say, Sue knew to get the hook…quickly. Books, magazines and syndicated radio, Sue Goldstein set the pace and reached amazing new heights as a result of her tenacity and conviction. God bless Sue Goldstein.

Oh my gosh! I was telling a friend today how I would listen to Sue Goldstein..and her saying “Never pay retail”. I didn’ know she passed away.

Deepest sympathies. I spent many a Saturday afternoon listening to her.

I just ran across this obituary for Sue and was very sad to hear that she passed away! I loved listening to her show on the radio to learn about all the bargains in the city and had her Underground shopper book! May her memory be eternal
