Obituary of Cook, Mary Lillian

Mary Lillian Cook was born on October 12, 1911 and died on July 30, 2014 at the age of 102. She was preceded in death by her parents, Early and Novella Cook; sister, Odessa; brother, Carl and half brother, Roy Gary. Mary lived all of her life in the Walnut Hill Community of Dallas.  She started work at A. Harris & Co. after caring for her mother and father until their deaths.  Mary retired from Foleys, now Macy’s.  After retiring she went back to work part-time at Foleys.  In later years, she moved to Grapevine to the Colleyville Retirement Home.  Her last years were in Woodridge Nursing Home.  Mary had many friends and loved doing interesting things with them. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas  75234. Memorials may be made to: Merrell Cemetery Association, 10335 Best Drive, Dallas, Texas 75229. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
