Baker, Kristina Isabelle Kristina Isabelle Baker passed away peacefully at home May 24th from complications of cancer. She is survived by her partner in life Greg Goree and their many beloved pets. Kristina was born in Bird Drop Park, Cheltenham, Great Britain, as the child of Isabelle and Kenneth C. Baker. Kristina was a born performer and studied acting at SMU, The Professional Actors Training Program at The Meadows School of the Arts, and under teacher Nina Foch (MGM star) in Los Angeles. She spent most of her career pursuing acting in Los Angeles and Dallas. She first gained notoriety with Della Reese in a national tour of Blues in The Night; in Dallas as Mrs. Lovett in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. She also appeared in numerous film, television, and stage productions. She won the Rabin award in Dallas for her role as Martha in Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at the WaterTower Theatre. In later years she parlayed her excellent taste to pursue a career in design. Kristina had a zest for living and a spirit that stayed with her to the end. She had a great sense of humor and loved to travel to the Goree T-Bone Ranch with Greg and family. She was known for her beauty and her skill as a gracious hostess for Greg and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Kenneth Coale Baker, USAF (Ret.). She is survived by her mother Isabelle, sisters Mary Margaret, Bette Ann, and Kazzie Neval and her brother Kenneth Coale, Jr. Memorial 2pm Sat. May 29th at Sammons Center for the ARTS, 3630 Harry Hines Boulevard, Dallas, TX. Celebration of Life to follow. Memorial gifts may be made in her honor to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, Irving TX.
