Bowman, Joyce A.
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Passed from this earthly life into the arms of our heavenly Father, October 31, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 22, 1940 in Corsicana, TX to Maicel Alline Robinson Boyd and Victor Boyd, residing in Farmers Branch, TX for the last 44 years. Joyce was preceded by her parents, infant sons, Brett and Blake Bowman, brother Victor Ray Boyd and sister Loyce Maurine Beaty. Her mother and father in law, Johnnie and R. Dee Boyd. Survived by the love of her life and husband for 50 wonderful years, Jerry Bowman. Son Dave Bowman and wife Deanna. Daughter Kim Bowman and fiancee Jeffrey Fuller. Two beautiful granddaughters, Brooke Nichole, and Kendall Renee Bowman. Brother Robert Boyd and wife Diane, and sister Jane Webb, and husband Jay, and brother in law, John Beaty, brother in law Jay W. Bowman Jr. wife Margaret Bowman, sister in law Jean McCullough, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many precious friends. Joyce was retired from Dallas county after a 23 year career. Joyce's goal in life was to serve our Lord Jesus Christ, and even in those last days she was serving Him by witnessing to others about our Savior's love. She loved her family dearly and will be missed until we each see her again. Services Thursday, November 6, 2008 10:00am at Valwood Park Baptist, Farmers Branch at Valwood Pkwy. & Josey Ln, Farmers Branch with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove, TX. Visitation at North Dallas Funeral Home 6:00 - 8:00pm Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
