Obituary of
Butner, Johnnie J.
Johnnie Joe Butner married to JoAnn Ragland Butner for 50 years as of June 25, 2011. He retired from the U.S. Government (U.S. General Accounting Office 1957-1988) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Southwestern Division) from 1983-1986. He also was in the U.S. Army from June 1951 to June 1953 including service as a legal clerk from 1951 to 1952 and the War Crimes Division in Korea from 1952 to 1953. He also was a stock clerk at Sheppard Air Force Base 1950-1951. Johnnie is survived by his wife JoAnn (Ragland) Butner and son Steven Butner, daughter in law Sophia Butner and granddaughters Emma Butner and Ella Butner. He was a longtime member of The Baptist Church, Bronte, Texas and First Baptist Church, Brock, Texas. Burial With Honors will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:15am at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas 75211. Please send family condolences and sign guest book via this website.
