I’m so sad to hear of the passing of my cousin Janice, born eight months after I was. It was just yesterday my sister sent me a picture of all of us kids when we were living in Troy Grove, IL. Janice was standing next to me along with my sister and brother and all my other cousins. The picture must have been taken around 1953. I visited Uncle Johnny and Auntie Eva many times over the years. I miss them very much. Over the years Janice and I lost touch, but she was never forgotten.

I am sorry about Jan’s passing. Though small in stature, she had an explosive personality. Her children and I were friends but lost contact for years.

Jan and I went to Jr. High and High School together. Our mothers were great friends so Jan and I were together, through their relationship, often. During those years I became sort of a big brother. I am very sad to hear of her passing and wish the best for her family.
