Obituary of
Coker, Raymond M.
Raymond M. Coker of Rockwall, Texas, born August 18, 1922 and passed away October 11, 2008 while surrounded by his family. He was born to Milton and Mert Black Coker in Wood County, Texas. He was a long time Dallas Businessman, North American Big Game Hunter and Racecar Owner. His race cars set and held numerous NHRA and IHRA records in the 1960's and 1970's. He successfully hunted all of North Americas' big game species. He formed Coker Machine Works in 1958 and it evolved into Raymond M. Coker and Assoc-iates in 1972 and the business is still in operation in Dallas. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Geneva Coker, son Don Coker and wife Judy, Son Terry Coker, daughter Suzette Quate and husband Don, grandchildren; Odie, Jeni, Nick, Katie and two great granchildren. Visitation, Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 6-8PM. Celebration of Life, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 11AM at North Dallas Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
