Obituary of
Collins, Ray L.
Ray Leonard Collins was a resident of Farmers Branch, Texas, and has been a resident of Texas since October of 1959 . He was born in Athens, Tennessee. Ray passed on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas fom lung and brain cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard H. and Mary K. Collins; sisters, Bettye J. Collins Perez, and Bonnie S. Collins.
Ray is survived by his wife, Maria Johnson Collins of Farmers Branch, Texas and her three (3) sons and families: also his sisters, Linda Surles Collins and Deborah Ann Collins both of Farmers Branch, Texas; nephews, Jack Surles and his wife, Shannon of Rowlett, Texas, Steven Surles and his wife Marie of Farmers Branch, Texas; great nephews, Michael and Kyle Surles; and great nieces Kristin and Kaitlin Surles.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas followed by a grave side service at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery located at 9220 Restland Road (at Greenville Avenue, north of 635), Dallas, Texas 75243.
Services will be officiated by Dr. Michael Waco.
