I don’t have to words…. Growing up Whit, Jeff and I were always at the house. Denis is my second dad. I was always welcome and he was happy to have me around. At one point he even introduced me and Whit as his adopted sons. He was there at all of our soccer games and he always said, “If you boys ever need anything let me know”. I’ll never forget that. He will always be in my heart and will remain in many of my fondest childhood memories.

My heart goes out to you Mom, and to my brothers as well, and in his words “If any of you need anything just let me know”.

Beth, Blair, Jeff, Scott and all of the Crisp family – our hearts go out to you. While I know there is a time for all things – including sailing to the other shore – I am so sorry that Dennis has made that journey so early; he will be missed so much. Even in this sadness I know we all will celebrate his life and laugh at the stories and times shared. I think about the many times, viewpoints, and stories told along a baseball fence line, soccer field, or football field. I appreciated his great wit, fun stories, and the tremendous love and pride it was easy to see that he had for his family. I am so glad that our families were able to know each other and that our boys were able to share the experience of growing up together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord be with Dennis and he with the Lord – Amen. The Phillips’
