Leland and Sandy, I hope you are doing well. I really would have liked to have been there at Rae Lynn’s funeral. It probably appeared to you that I wasn’t good for her, but I want you to know that she always came to me, I didn’t go looking for her. She would stay with me and I tried to care for her. Then she would leave again and then find me again. I always took her in. I cared a lot for her. I tried to help her. You never realized how sick she was. She was in need of help and care and regardless of what you might think, I didn’t want anything from her at all and never took anything from her. All she wanted was a home. I tried to give her one. She loved you both so much, she only had wonderful things to say about you. All I ever wanted was for her to be okay and safe. She wanted to live with you so badly, but always ended up with me.
