    Dear Charles,

We want to express our condolences on the passing of Erika. I remember her when Royal and Pat and I were friends at Mary Immaculate School, and she would come over to visit my Mom, Connie, and they would laugh and have coffee and catch up on the news. She was always very kind to us and had a great sense of humor. Royal and I thought it was so neat when she told us that she road a motorcycle in Germany! šŸ™‚

May she rest in peace with our dear Lord.

    Sincerely,

Leona (Haverkamp) Heraty and Steve Heraty

Charlie, I have such nice memories of the late 70’s/early 80’s when we worked together at 8435. You and Erica were always so fun and willing to open your home to strays like me! Blessings to you and the boys at this tender time.

My deepest and heart felt condolences to husband Charles, son Patrick, and other son Charles. Erika has been my constant best friend. We shared real estate and both just loved to chat about it. I enjoyed working with her early on in our 32 year friendship then phoning each other every month or so or stopping by her home to visit and look out at the golf course. She was such a dynamic positive person and full of zest and vigor. I shall miss her greatly but by being best friends will have that connection for eternity. RIP my dearest beloved friend.

    Charles & Family,

I was so moved and saddened when I heard of Erika’s passing. I spoke with her just a month or so ago and she indicated she was much better. She sounded better and I was encouraged that her health was improving. We loved Erika, she such an outgoing, ever-helpful person who was always looking for new and improved ways to help her clients in real estate! We will miss hearing her sweet German voice and her cute sense of humor! It was our honor and delight to have known her. I know you, her family, are missing her already, your all in our prayers!

Charles, Patrick, and Charley. So nice to meet the sons at the memorial, and to see you Charles. It was the nicest memorial I ever attended in my life. What a wonderful tribute to her memory and celebration of her life. After 32 years it was hard to say goodbye. Today I had the urge of wanting to pick up the phone and call. I have had that urge daily since my sister passed a year ago. My sister lived here for 40 years then went to E. TX to retire. Most of all about Erika, we were friends, and best friends, for over 32 years and never ever lost touch. Most every month we chatted on the phone, always real estate, the boys, and Charles. I would drop by and visit now and then too. Hard habit to break and I am so sad to lose such a life long friend who was just like another sister. I have lost both of my sisters now, and Erika. But the Lord Bless and keep her and console Charles and the boys for their loss. You were so lucky to have such a wonderful mom and wife in your lives, as were all of us that called her “best friend”. God bless all.
