Freeman, Virginia A.
Freeman, Virginia Ann Born in 1916 to Sam and Mary Hindman, died June 20, 2010 at age 94 of heart failure. She came to Dallas after graduation from the University of Texas and married O.B. Freeman, Jr. in 1939. A native of Houston, graduate of The Uni- versity of Texas and lifelong active member and former National Offi- cer of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, she was predeceased by her brothers, Lewis and Sam Hindman, her hus- band O.B. Freeman, Jr. Survived by sons, Brad Freeman, Plano, Tx and Steve Freeman, Southlake, Tx, along with grandchildren, Corey Freeman, Casey Freeman, Kelli Freeman Rathjen, Matthew Free- man and Lang Freeman and six great grandchildren. Until her health made it difficult, she was ac- tive in numerous civic and social or- ganizations including the Dallas Women's Club, the Dallas Garden Club and the Mary K. Craig Class, Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni group. She will be missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made to the "Virginia Hindman Freeman Schol- arship Fund", c/o KAPPA ALPHA THETA FOUNDATION, 8740 Founders Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 24, 11:00 AM at Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
