Sue Goodwin Cook, born in Gainesville, Texas to Sophia Margaret Davis and husband, Henry Richard Beaver, reposed Nov. 22, 2012.
She is survived by her two children, Beverly Sue Gill Hammett and husband, Grady, and Wayne Melvin Goodwin, Jr.; sister, Mary Bess Maltby Fletcher of Los Osos, CA; grandchildren, Samuel Wayne Gill of Dallas, Wayne Melvin Goodwin III, of Dallas, and Elizabeth Lane Goodwin Hoffman of Flower Mound, TX; great-grandson, Luke Daniel Hoffman of Flower Mound; nephew, William Jefferson England of Los Osos; and nieces, Sheryl Lynn Beaver of Gainesville, TX, Carol Ann Whitte of Brenham, TX, and Polly Peaks Elmore of Killeen, TX.
A member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Sue was the owner of Sue Goodwin Realtors in Farmers Branch, TX. She was also a Trustee of the Carrollton Famers Branch School District, a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Southwestern Diabetic Foundation, and Director of Camp Sweeny - a facility for children with medical and mental disabilities. Sue was appointed to serve on the Governor
