Obituary of Harris, Stephen H.

Stephen Henry Harris, 52, passed away from complications of Pulmonary Fibrosis, with his wife by his side on June 27, 2011. He was born March 26, 1959 in San Angelo, Texas to Henry and Louise Harris, they moved to Westworth Village when Steve was 8 years old. It was here that Steve developed life-long friends. He learned the trade and became a master carpenter working along his granddad and uncles. Steve formed his own construction business in 1981 and always strived to exceed the expectations of his customers. Anyone who met Steve fell in love with him and he became a cherished friend. He took friendship to a whole new level and never turned anyone down who needed help when they called. Steve enjoyed working on classic cars, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends; especially the time he shared with his granddaughter Briley Lynn. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Henry Harris. Survivors include wife of 15 years, Dana Voyles Harris; daughters, Ashley Harris and Alicia Erion; granddaughter, Briley Lynn Harris; mother, Louise Harris; sisters and brother-in-laws, Debbie and Todd Brookshire, Denise and Ricky Andress; numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Benbrook, 1015 McKinley, Benbrook, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, July 1, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Benbrook with interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 3100 White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Dr. Todd Pylant of First Baptist Church of Benbrook will officiate for the services.
