Wow…I was so shocked and sorry to hear of Rick’s passing yesterday when I returned from vacation. I was just a young twenty-something when I started at Oakland Center and had the pleasure/privilege to work with Rick. You will be missed my friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

My deepest sympathies to your family. I met Rick at Oakland Center and what a wonderful man he was. Always upbeat in such a stressful environment – but you would never know it from him – taught me when I first arrived. Will always have wonderful memories of him. Again – I am so sorry!

Sorry for you loss, I also knew Rick from Oakland Center. He was on my crew just before he transferred to Texas. Great guy, good controller and instructor. He also was the supervisor of a classmate of mine niece and she said he was a great supervisor and was well respected by the crew he supervise.
