Obituary of Hoelscher, Roy H.

Roy Henry Hoelscher passed on May 12, 2012. He was born in Westphalia, TX on December 31, 1925. He proudly served during WWII and spent his career as a teacher at Hillcrest High School in Dallas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juanita; daughters Kathryn and husband Scott Assenheimer, Michelle and husband John Henry; son Bryan; grandchildren, Ryan, Devin and Taylor Assenheimer, Julia and Sophie Henry. A visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a rosary to follow at at 7:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas 75220 at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia, Texas at 4:00 pm. Please send the family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.

    I was saddened to see Mr. Hoelscher’s obit this morning. He was my Distributive Education teacher at Hillcrest in ’69-’70. He helped teach me about good business practices and was a very fair man. I wish I had reached out to him at some point during the last 40 years and told him that. My condolences to the family.

    I was saddened to see Mr. Hoelscher's obit this morning. He was my Distributive Education teacher at Hillcrest in '69-'70. He helped teach me about good business practices and was a very fair man. I wish I had reached out to him at some point during the last 40 years and told him that. My condolences to the family.
