Obituary of Honeycutt, Gere D.

Gere Dean Honeycutt was born 6/29/1918 in Dallas, TX to Ruth and Aubrey Gideon. She passed away 8/31/08. Graduated from high school in Houston and attended TCU. Was married to Lt. Boyd C. Knetsar in 1940. Lt. Knetsar was killed in a plane crash in 1942. She married Oliver Harris Campbell in 1948. Mr. Campbell died of Leukemia in 1950. She married Lt. Col. Dale C.L. Honeycutt in 1951; a marriage that lasted 37 years. Col. Honeycutt died of cancer in 1988. Gere Dean was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and Chapter AR P.E.O., and she loved spending time with her family. She was always a gracious, kind, and generous lady. She is survived by her brother, Edward N. Gideon of Salem, Oregon; by her son, Dr. Boyd K. Honeycutt, his wife Randi, their daughters Heather Bogan and husband Jim, and Susan Larson and husband Jon and their daughter Lola Jane; also by her daughter Suzanne H. Clark, her husband Cliff, and their son Barrett Clark, his wife Allison, and their sons Mason and Owen, and their daughter Holly Dickens and husband Brandon. A Memorial Service / Celebration of life and inurnment will be held at Arapaho United Methodist Church on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to P.E.O. or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
